What I quickly learned when I submit my blog to blog directories was that I was able to garner backlinks in a fairly short time. This has allowed my websites to be found more easily by the major search engines, which then indexed my sites and caused them to rank higher in search results. Search engines particularly value these links. All things being equal, search engines place a higher value on pages that have more links, since this is a sign of a worthy blog. it was this realization that allowed me to get favorable results after I submit my blog to a few directories.
